OVER 30 floral tributes have been erected on a Limerick street as the Faulkner family prepare to say a final farewell to their beloved Scarlett.

The 29-year-old’s reposal took place in Cross’s Funeral Home, Lower Gerald Griffin Street, Limerick city this Thursday afternoon. She will be laid to rest in Meelick Cemetery following  funeral Mass at 11am in St Munchin’s Church on Friday.

The mum-of-one from Longpavement, Limerick city, died on Monday - three weeks after sustaining serious head injuries in an assault on a roadside in Birdhill.

A video has been shared on social media this Thursday of the giant floral tributes for Scarlett. Photos of Scarlett with her nearest and dearest including daughter Oceanna are at the centre of many loveheart shaped creations by florists.

There are two full length oval-shaped photos of Scarlett with a gold coloured border. Other floral arrangements simply say ‘Sister’, ‘Daughter’ and 'Mommy'.

In the middle of the display is a gold-effect archway adorned with flowers and complete with drapes.

One arrangement portrays items that were close to Scarlett’s heart including sunglasses, a can of Red Bull, designer shoes and bag, and perfume.

The decision was made on Sunday to take her off a life support machine in Cork University Hospital. Scarlett passed away peacefully on Monday surrounded by her loving family who had maintained a bedside vigil.
