The death has occurred of John (Johnny) Phillips, Wolfe Tone Street, Limerick and formerly of Doon Rock, Gurteen, Co. Sligo.

12th October 2025, John passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of Patterson’s Nursing Home, Roscrea.

John is sadly missed and remembered with love by his son Kenneth McGrath (Nenagh), daughter-in-law Tanya, his cherished grandchildren Lincoln, Bailee and Avery, sister Mary Galvin (Boston), brother Martin (Gurteen), brother-in-law John, sister in-law Pauline, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and many friends

May John Rest In Eternal Peace.

John will repose in O’Dowd’s Funeral Home, Gurteen (F56F894) on Tuesday (14th October) from 5pm until 7pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Wednesday in St. Patrick’s Church, Gurteen, at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Carrentemple Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Thomas (Tom) O'Rourke, Ballynaught, Bruree, Co. Limerick, October 12th 2025, very peacefully in the care of all at Milford Care Centre, surrounded by his loving family. 

Predeceased by his sisters Philomena, Kathleen, Sheila and Nellie. 

Very deeply regretted by his loving wife Philomena, sons Kieran and Brian, daughters Mary and Emer, son in law John, daughter in law Jacqueline, his sister Lil, grandchildren Kayla and Tommy, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, extended family and his very kind neighbours and large circle of friends.

Reposing this Tuesday, 14th, from 6.30pm at Daffy's Funeral Home, Kilmallock followed by evening prayers at 8pm. Removal to arrive Wednesday for 12pm Requiem Mass at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Bruree followed by burial afterwards to the New Cemetery, Bruree.

Peacefully on October 12th 2025, after a short illness in U.H.L.

Predeceased by his late brother Patrick and sister-in-law Mary.

October 12th 2025 peacefully at Adare and District Nursing Home.

Beloved wife of the late John. Dearly loved mother of Garry and Kenneth. Sadly missed by her loving daughter-in-law Lisa, her adored grandchildren Ella, Aidan and Cian, sisters Julia and Mary, brothers Pa, Joe and her twin brother Alec, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her brother Sean.

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral, Thomas Street on Wednesday (15th October) from 6.30pm to 8pm. Funeral arriving at St. Joseph’s Church, O’Connell Avenue on Thursday (16th October) for Requiem Mass at 11.30am followed by burial in Mount St. Oliver Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Catherine Healy (née Meehan), Slí na Milaoise, Rathkeale, Limerick.

Unexpectedly, predeceased by her parents Michael and Bridie, brother Micky, sisters Mary and Bridie. Survived by her son Joe, brother James, sisters Josephine, Christina, Ann, Angela and Noleen, close friend Dave, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours and friends.

May Catherine rest in peace.

It is with deep sadness we announce the death of Chris Browne (née Doyle) of Ballybricken, Grange, Co Limerick and formerly of Whitegate, Co. Clare.

Unexpectedly, at home, on 11th October 2025.

Chris was the beloved wife of the late Tim, devoted mother to Stephen, Joseph, Declan, Tina, Damien and Caimin, adored grandmother of Róisín, Tadhg, Laura, Donncha, Ríona, Ciarán, Shane, Killian, Aaron, Cian and Ollie and mother-in-law to Maria, Jarlath, Joanne and Caroline.

Chris will be deeply regretted and fondly remembered by her sister-in-law, her beloved nieces and nephews, the extended Doyle and Browne families, her neighbours and her many friends.

Her bright spirit and lively presence will be forever missed by her children and grandchildren, each of whom had a special place in her heart.

Rest in eternal peace, our dear Mam and Nana. You are deeply loved and will never be forgotten.

Reposing at Cross's Funeral Home, Ballyneety, Co. Limerick, Tuesday, October 14th, from 5pm to 7pm, followed by removal to St. Ailbe's Church Ballybricken (V35 XD56).

Requiem Mass on Wednesday, October 15th at 1.30pm, followed by service at 4pm in Shannon Crematorium.
