RIP: Limerick deaths and funeral details, Wednesday, October 1

Deaths in Limerick

The death has occurred of James (Jimmy) Calvert, Sarsfield Court, Garryowen, Limerick and ex Limerick Corporation and Presentation RFC on October 1 peacefully, at University Hospital Limerick, surrounded by his loving family. 

Predeceased by parents Kathleen and Richard, sisters Phyllis, Rosie and Vera and brother Tommy.

Very deeply regretted by his loving daughter Jennifer, son David and their mother Margaret, granddaughters Alana and Matilda, special friend Mary, sister Mary, brothers Tony and Dermot, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and his sporting friends. 

Reposing at Cross’s Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, Friday, October 3, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.

Funeral will arrive Saturday, October 4, at St John’s Cathedral, Cathedral Place, for Requiem Mass at 11am, funeral afterwards to Mount St Lawrence (ext.) Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Siobhan Cullen (nee O’Dea), Ballycastle Co Antrim formerly of Swanlinbar, Co Cavan and Ardroe, Pallasgreen, Co Limerick peacefully at Jerry and Eileen O’Dea’s residence in Lisnagry on September 30.

Reunited with her beloved husband Tony.

Sadly missed by her loving family Anthony, Fiona, Michelle, Marguerite, Hughie and Shane and her son-in-law and daughter-in-law, her cherished grandchildren, great grandchildren and her brothers and sisters, John, Kathleen, Teresa, Michael, Jerry, Jim, Mary, and Tom, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Meehan’s Funeral Home Newport, Co Tipperary (V94 A9Y5) on Thursday, October 2 from 5.30 to 7.30pm. Reposing at 18 Market Court, (BT54 6FB) Ballycastle, Co Antrim on Friday, October 3 from 5pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday, October 4 in St Patrick’s and St Brigid’s Church, 10 Moyle Road, Ballycastle, (BT54 6LB) at 10am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.
