It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of William (Willie) Ryan (Ballinacurra Gardens, Limerick and late of Ryan’s Locksmiths)

On September 22nd 2025, peacefully, at Milford Care Centre, supported by his loving family.

Beloved husband of Carmel and adored father of Sinéad, Deirdre, Eoin and Con.

William will be deeply missed by his family, cherished grandchildren Nicholas, Rebecca, Robert, Leo, Harry, Senan, Malachy and Caoimhe, brothers Fr. Damian and Joseph, sons-in-law Andrew Wallace and Gregg Fox, daughter-in-law Michelle Ryan, sister-in-law Ronnie, nieces Emma, Nicola and Laura, other relatives, friends, work colleagues and customers of Ryan’s Locksmiths.

May he Rest in Peace

Reposing at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Childers Road, Wednesday, September 24th, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, followed by evening prayers.

Requiem Mass Thursday, September 25th, at 11am, funeral afterwards to Mount St. Lawrence Cemetery (extension)

William’s family would like to acknowledge the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of University Hospital Limerick, Milford Care Centre, Griffin Daly Medical Centre, St. John’s Square in particular Nurse Geraldine Ryan, for their exceptional care and support.

As a mark of respect Ryan's Locksmiths will close on Tuesday, September 23rd, at 5pm and will re-open on Friday, September 26th.

The death has occurred of Donal O’Ceallaigh (O’Kelly), New Street, Limerick and Gorta Dubh, Ballyferriter, Co. Kerry.

September 21st 2025, peacefully in the care of Beech Lodge Nursing Home, Bruree, Co. Limerick.

Predeceased by his son Cormac, sisters Peggy & Joan and brother Seán. Survived by his loving wife Phyllis and sadly missed by daughters Brid and Anne, grandchildren Daniel, Rachael, Nick, Ruth, Eoin, Niamh, Lucy and Harry, great grandchildren Emma, Max, Ryan & Miles, daughter in law Helen, niece and nephews, neighbours and large circle of friends.

May he rest in peace.

Arriving at the Dominican Church, Glentworth Street, Limerick on Wednesday 24/09/25 for Requiem Mass at 11am with burial afterwards at Mount St. Lawrence Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Margaret (Peg) McCarthy (née Lenihan), Dromtrasna South, Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick, passed away peacefully, in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff at Kilcara House Nursing Home, on Sunday, 21st September 2025, with her family by her side.

Predeceased by her husband Daniel Joseph (Dan Joe) and her recently deceased son-in-law, John Holland (Mallow).

Peg is very sadly missed by her loving son Joseph and daughter Anne Michelle, daughter-in-law Caroline, adored grandchildren Danielle, Fiona and Emma, sister Ann (Harnett) and the extended Lenihan family, nephews, nieces, all her other relatives and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Harnett’s Funeral Home, The Square, Abbeyfeale (V94 AK44) on Tuesday, 23rd September from 6.00 p.m. until 8.00 p.m. Requiem Mass for Peg will be celebrated in The Church of The Assumption, Abbeyfeale on Wednesday, 24th September at 11.00 a.m.

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our dear Father & Grandfather John Leahy, Aherlow Close, Glenmore, Caherdavin, Limerick.

On September 18th 2025, peacefully, at Milford Care Centre Limerick, surrounded by his loving family.

Pre-deceased by his loving wife Mary in 1996.

John will be deeply missed by his daughter, sons, grandchildren, sister, brother, nephew, nieces, many friends and neighbours.

Funeral service will take place on Thursday, September 25th, in Shannon Crematorium at 11am. All are welcome.

We are deeply grateful to the staff at Milford Care Centre for the wonderful care given to John.

In line with John's wishes there will be no funeral home or Mass and attendees are asked to wear bright colours.

All are welcome to the Horse & Hound bar after the service for a celebration of John's life with his family.

The death has occurred of Jim Hogan, Cratloe, Co. Clare, originally of Janesboro, Limerick and formerly Dublin and Jamaica.

Jim passed away peacefully at University Hospital Limerick, on 21st September 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Deeply missed by his beloved wife Renee, children Rhys and Rylie, Graham, Jamie and Amanda, grandchildren Millie and Conor, daughter-in-law Katie, sisters Anne, Fidelma and Terry, mother-in-law Pauline, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends.

Predeceased by his sisters Mary, Majella and Philomena.

Remembrance Service will take place at Kilmurry Arts and Heritage Centre, Castletroy, Limerick (Eircode V94 EH63), on Friday, 26th September, at 12 noon, followed by Burial in Stradbally Cemetery, Castleconnell.

Pat, peacefully at University Hospital Limerick (UHL) surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, September 21st 2025.

Predeceased by his parents William and Ellen.

Pat will be forever missed by his heartbroken wife and soulmate Patricia (née McIntyre - Banagher, Co. Offaly), his cherished children Darragh and Gráinne and their partners Rory and Ger.

His loving brother Michael, sisters Mary (Delee) and Diane (Mullane).

Deeply regretted by his loving wife, family, sisters-in-law Deirdre, Margaret, Helen and Mary, brothers-in-law Jerry, John, Michael and Eamonn, his aunt Peg (U.K), adored by his nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours, a wide circle of friends, colleagues past and present at Murrays Charleville, Limerick and Bruree G.A.A. and his faithful dog Benny.

Reception into St. Munchin's Church, Rockhill on Wednesday for Requiem Mass at 12:30pm, after which Pat will be laid to rest in Colmanswell Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Gerald (Jed) Barry, Ballybane, Galway / Mervue, Galway, and formerly of Cratloe, Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick

Jed passed away peacefully in University Hospital Galway on the 21st of September 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Dan Joe and Maureen, daughter (baby) Margaret, and grandchildren Hailey and Joey Ryan (twin babies).

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Josephine, his five sons and five daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, extended family, friends and neighbours.

May his gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing in The Holy Family Funeral Home, Mervue (H91 FH52) on Wednesday the 24th of September from 5pm. Removal at 6:30pm to the adjoining church. Jed's Requiem Mass will take place on Thursday the 25th of September at 11am. Jed will then be laid to rest, in Rinville Cemetery, Oranmore.

Please Note: Access to the funeral parlour is through the front entrance of the main church. Wheelchair users can access the funeral parlour at ground level in the car park.

A Special Mention: A sincere thanks to Jed's GP, Dr. Niamh O'Brien and all in Mervue Health Centre for all their years of care and a huge thank you to The Palliative Care Team for looking after him so kindly in the last days of his life.
