The death has occurred of Mary Egan (née Costello) Limerick

Mary Egan nee Costello late of Coolcappa, 21 August 

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at UHL.

Survived by her loving husband Chris, son Shane, daughter Natalie, son in law Brendan, daughter in law Bridget, adored grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nephews, nieces, extended family & friends.

May Mary Rest In Peace 

Funeral cortège will arrive at St. Kieran's Church Coolcappa for 12 noon Mass on Thursday 24 August followed by cremation afterwards.

The family have expressly wished their family home and crematorium to be strictly private and limited to immediate family only.

Donations if desired can be made to ICU at UHL.


The death has occurred of Shane (William, Anthony) English of Adare, Limerick

Shane, formerly of Kilfinane.

In the loving care of the Matron and Staff of Milford Care Centre, surrounded by his loving wife Breda, his son Jack and daughter-in-law Rachel. Pre-deceased by his parents Ann (O'Brien) and John English, his daughters Katie and Kaylee, his brothers Brian, Jimmy, Gerard and sister Ellen.

Sadly missed by his loving family, his sisters Mary, Ann, Rachel, Bridie and Juanita, his brothers Ed and Tom, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in law, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and a large circle of family and friends.

Reposing at The Holy Trinity Abbey Church Adare this Wednesday 23 from 6.30pm to 8pm.

Requiem Mass on Thursday 24 at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in Galbally Cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Milford Care Centre.

On August 20, peacefully in St. Finbarr’s Hospital, Cork. Dearly beloved husband of Mairéad (Peig nee Twohig) and loving father to Clíona, Anna (Lehane), Eamon, Damhnait (Uí Ruairc), Dónal and Colm. Deeply regretted by his loving wife and children, sisters Fionnuala MacLochlainn and Niamhín Scolard, sons-in-law Frank, Kieran and Dermot, daughters-in-law Thérèse and Pireeni, grandchildren, sister-in-law Pat, nephews, nieces, relatives, carers. neighbours and good friends.

Lying in repose at Crowley’s Funeral Home, Bóthar Saclay, Ballincollig, Cork, Wednesday 23 August from 7.00pm to 8.00pm. Requiem Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, SMA, Wilton, Cork on Thursday, 24 August at 12 noon followed by burial in St. Oliver’s Cemetery, Carrigrohane, Cork.

The death has occurred of Nina Raievska of Bilboa Cross, Cappamore, Limerick

Raievska, Nina, Bilboa Cross, Cappamore, Co.Limerick and formerly of Mariupol, Ukraine. 20 August 2023 suddenly at her home.

Sadly missed by her loving daughters Lubov and Elena, grandson Aleksey and his partner Olga, granddaughters Kate and Liza, relatives and friends.

Noreen died peacefully, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. 

Very deeply regretted by her loving husband Willie, daughter Nadia, son Alan, grandchildren, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, other relatives, friends and neighbours. 

Predeceased by her parents John and Nora and sister Jell.

The death has occurred of Martin Clancy of Corbally, Limerick

Park Gardens, Corbally, Limerick and formerly of Fairview Terrace, Garryowen.

Past President of Shannon R.F.C. & retired teacher, Mechanic’s Technical Institute O’Connell Avenue.

Martin died peacefully, surrounded by his family, in University Hospital Limerick, on 21 August.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Carmel, children Martin, Anna, Brian & Maggie, by his sixteen adored grandchildren, daughters-in-law Martina & Caitriona, sons-in-law Ger & Anthony, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours & friends.

Predeceased by his parents and sisters Kitty, Eileen & brother John.

The death has occurred of William (Willie) Fitzgerald of Camheen, Mungret, Limerick

Ex Irish Cement, Roadstone and DL Construction.

William died peacefully, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family, following a brief illness, bravely borne. 

Very deeply regretted by his loving wife Maureen, children Raymond, Tina, Liam, Amanda and Michael, grandchildren Khea, Risa, Avril, Aimee and Alexander, daughter-in-law Linda, son-in-law James, partners Glaiza, Jimmy and Louise, loving sister Mary, brothers-in-law JJ, John, Kevin and Michael, sisters-in-law Breda and Carmel and their families, friends and neighbours. 

Predeceased by his parents Michael and Eileen and sister Nora and brother-in-law John Ryan.

The Fitzgerald Family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the Cancer Society night nurses Ann and Helen, Milford Hospice nurses Bridget and Sheila, Public Health nurse Alison and Dr. James Moloney and his team, to the Staff of the Oncology Unit of University Hospital Limerick for their kindness to William throughout his illness.
