Deaths in Limerick: Monday, March 6, 2023

The death has occurred of Daniel O'Connell of Bawnmore, Ardpatrick, Limerick / Kilmallock, Limerick.

Peacefully at home, on the 5th of March, in the loving care of his family and friends.

Predeceased by his brother Timmy and sister Peg (Keating). Deeply regretted by his loving wife Anna, sons Denis and David, daughter Helena, daughter in law Ciara and Helena’s partner Sean. Will be forever missed by his cherished grandchildren Rebecca, Emma, Seán, Leah, Ríoch and Anna. Sisters Mary (Gleeson), Eileen (Sherlock) and Breed (Kissane), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, kind relatives and wonderful friends.

Rest in peace.

Reposing at McCarthy's Funeral Home, Kilfinane, Tuesday, 7th March, from 6-8pm. Arriving at St Patrick’s Church, Ardpatrick, on Wednesday, 8th March, for requiem Mass at 12 midday. Burial afterwards at Ballingaddy Cemetery.

Donations, if desired, to Irish Cancer Society volunteer drivers and night nursing services.

The death has occurred of Dermot 'Dobs' O'BRIEN of Sycamore Heights, Patrickswell, Limerick.

Formerly of Castle Street & O’Brien’s Bar.

Dermot died peacefully, in University Hospital Limerick, surrounded by his loving family.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Rose, cherished daughters Lorna, Mary & Sinéad, adored grandchildren Isabel & Julia, Aubrey & Bláthnat & Jacob, brother Greg, sons-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and his many friends.

Recently pre-deceased by his son-in-law Tom.

Reposing at Griffin’s Funeral Home, John’s Gate on Tuesday, 7th March, from 4.30pm. Removal to Church of the Blessed Virgin, Patrickswell at 6:30pm. Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday, 8th March at 11:30am, streamed live here. Burial afterwards in Patrickswell Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Tom Mulcahy of Kilcullane, Bruff, Limerick.

Tom passed away peacefully surrounded by his family 6th March 2023 in the loving care of the staff at University Hospital Limerick.

Predeceased by his parents John & Margaret and his sister Marie.

Dearly loved husband of Margaret and father of sons John, Thomas & Paudie, daughters Martina & Caroline. Tom will be very sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, sons in law, daughters in law, brothers and sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, his adored grandchildren, other relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Davern's Funeral Home, Hospital, Co. Limerick (V35XV96) this Wednesday evening (8th March) from 5.30pm until 7.00pm. Funeral cortege will arrive Thursday morning at the Sacred Heart Church, Herbertstown for funeral mass at 11.30am burial afterwards in the new cemetery Lough Gur.

Mary died peacefully, at University Hospital Limerick.

Funeral will arrive on Thursday, 9th March, for Requiem Mass in the Holy Family Church, Southill, at 11am, funeral afterwards to Mount St. Oliver Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Sr Annie Enright of Feenagh, Limerick

Peacefully at Villa Marie Convent, Hythe, Kent, UK in the wonderful care of the Marist Sisters & Staff, on 3rd March 2023.

Mourned and sadly missed by her sister Kitty Murphy (Feenagh) brother Matt (Kilkenny) and sister Betty Heffernan (Patrickswell), brother-in-law Paddy, sisters-in-law Margaret, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Reposing at Riedy’s Funeral Home this Tuesday 7th March from 6.30pm to 8pm. Arriving at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Newcastlewest on Wednesday for 11.30am requiem mass with burial afterwards in Monagea cemetery.

The death has occurred of Eddie DORAN of Lynwood Park, Ballysimon Road, Ballysimon, Limerick / Fedamore, Limerick.

Eddie died peacefully, in University Hospital Limerick, surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of the late Anna.

Sadly missed by his loving sons Pat, James & Brian, daughters-in-law, his adored grandchildren Emma, Nicole, Ethan, Brandon, Aimee, Robert, Roberta & Darragh brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, & friends.
