Limerick gardaí carry out search as part of 'ongoing investigations'
The search was related to investigations into a public order incident
LIMERICK gardaí carried out a search in the suburbs of Limerick city this Monday as part of ongoing investigations.
Members of An Garda Síochána carried out a search in the Ballysimon area of Limerick on Monday afternoon, September 7.
It is understood that there was a considerable amount of garda activity in the area at the time.
The search was undertaken as part of ongoing investigations into a public order incident.
One person who contacted Limerick Live said: “There were an amount of gardai around the place. I didn't know what was going on.”
In response to a query from Limerick Live, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: “Gardaí carried out a search in Ballysimon, Limerick on Monday 7th September 2026 as part of ongoing investigations into a public order incident.”
