A male is currently detained at a Garda Station in Limerick following an aggravated burglary

A MAN in his 20s has been arrested following an aggravated burglary last Sunday in Limerick city.

The male is currently detained at a Garda Station in Limerick under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

The burglary occurred at a residential property in the O’Connell Avenue area, last Sunday, at approximately 8am. 

A man entered the premises and confronted the homeowner with a knife, before fleeing with a number of items. The homeowner was uninjured.
