WHILE the Bulls stole Munster's heart this past weekend, a theft of a different kind occurred less than 48 hours later during an early-morning burglary at the beloved sports stadium.
Limerick Live understands that an individual gained access to Thomond Park on Monday and it has since been confirmed that a number of items were reportedly stolen. It is believed the items included sporting equipment used by Munster Rugby players.
A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: "Gardaí received a report of a burglary at a sportsground in Limerick city that occurred in the early hours of Monday, April 21."

A technical examination of the scene was conducted by the Divisional Scenes of Crime Unit and on Tuesday, April 22, a male in his 30s was arrested and detained at a garda station in Limerick city under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
The spokesperson for An Garda Síochána continued: "He has since been charged in connection with this investigation and is expected to appear before Limerick District Court."
The man will sit before the judge in Court No 6 at Limerick Courthouse later this Wednesday, April 23.
