As part of ongoing operations targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the region, gardaí attached to the Divisional Drugs Unit, assisted by members of the Armed Support Unit, executed a search warrant in Castleconnell, at around 8.15pm on Friday.
"The search was conducted at a residence in Castleconnell. As a result, cannabis herb with an estimated street value of over €45,000 was seized," said a garda spokesperson who added that the suspected drugs will be subject to analysis.

Gardai say Friday's seizure follows on from a previous operation and seizure of drugs earlier this week, also in the Castleconnell area.
As part of that operation, searches were carried out at seven domestic residences on Wednesday, February 19. As a result, Cannabis Herb with an estimated street value of €10,000 was seized. Gardaí also seized approximately €6,925 in cash.
A man, aged in his 20s, has been charged and will appear before the courts in the coming weeks while a juvenile who was also arrested was released without charge and a referral made to the Garda Youth Diversion Programme.
