In the course of the operation gardaí conducted a search of a residence in the Rosanna Road area
THREE arrests have been made as part of an ongoing investigation into a violent disorder incident that occurred in Tipperary Town just before Christmas.
In the course of a pre-planned operation this Wednesday, gardaí - supported by members of the Armed Support Unit, the Dog Unit, and members of the Defence Forces - conducted a search of a residence in the Rosanna Road area of the town.
The search resulted in the seizure of drug paraphernalia, approximately €1,000 worth of cannabis herb and several weapons.
Two men, one aged in his late teens and the other in his forties, were arrested and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a garda station in county Tipperary.

Both have since been charged in connection with the investigation and are scheduled to appear before Ennis District Court on Thursday.
Separately, a woman in her thirties, was also arrested on foot of a bench warrant and will be brought before the Criminal Courts of Justice.
Investigations are continuing.
