GARDAI are reminding students who drive to Limerick for college to park safe, legally and responsibly. Third level colleges across the country resumed this week and with that came an influx of students returning to Limerick.
"We want to firstly welcome back all the students studying in Limerick for another semester, we hope you're all safe and well," said the gardai in a post on Instagram.

"Don't cause a road block or obstruction to others in the area to be able come and go, this can be frustrating for residents. Those parked in such a way will be issued with a Fixed Charge Notice (fine and penalty points on your licence) and in some cases we will have no alternative but to seize the car."
Garda Gavin Keegan, Henry Street and Andrea Latouche, Community Engagement Liaison Officer at the University of Limerick were out surveying the parking situation yesterday evening and provided information to students about the 'Think Before You Park' campaign in collaboration with Limerick City Council.
