GARDAÍ are investigating a break-in at one Limerick home, where the perpetrator rode off into the night in the family car.

A thief broke into a house at the Hermitage, Mill Road, Limerick city at 1:52am on Tuesday, November 12 and made off with the family’s car, a grey Ford Ranger Crew Cab.

“He forced the rear door to get inside the house,” said garda John Finnerty of Henry St garda station.

“Once inside he stole the keys to the family vehicle. This is a Ford Ranger Crew Cab with a 211 Dublin registration. The thief used the keys to steal the Ford Ranger that was parked outside the house.

“Unfortunately, we don’t know where the Ford Ranger was taken to. This vehicle is still missing and has not been located yet.”

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have seen this vehicle at any stage since November 12 to contact Mayorstone garda station on 061 456980.
