'Pure thuggery': Gardai investigate after home vandalised in Limerick town

Gardai in Bruff and Kilmallock are investigating

THE WINDOWS and doors of a home in Kilmallock were smashed in an early morning attack, Limerick Live has learned,

The shocking incident occurred on the town's Lord Edward Street in the early hours of Saturday morning. It is understood the house was occupied at the time.

A garda spokesperson confirmed gardaí are investigating an incident of criminal damage to a property in Kilmallock that took place on Saturday, September 7.

"Investigations are ongoing at this time," said a garda spokesperson.

The broken windows on the property have since been boarded up. It is unclear why this house was attacked.

According to one local: "It appears this act was just pure thuggery and vandalism."

Anybody who may have seen any suspicious activity in Kilmallock in the early hours of Saturday morning and may be able to help gardai with their enquiries is asked to contact gardai in Bruff on 061 382940.
