TALENTED soccer player and Limerick man Josh Quinlivan has been honoured with a Limerick Person of the Month Award.
Last year, just days before Christmas, Josh was involved in a serious road traffic incident which led to the 21-year-old being hospitalised. The incident with an e-bike saw him transported to Cork University Hospital due to the extent of his serious injuries. Josh had previously captained the Treaty United U19 side, whilst also making appearances for Cork City U19s and Fairview Rangers.
Speaking to Limerick Live at the awards presentation in the Clayton Hotel, Josh said: "I feel honoured. I'm delighted to be here." He added that the award meant a lot to his family.

The Old Cork Road resident said he is now back in the gym and "feeling good." Josh hopes to get back on the pitch next season to return to soccer following his recovery, saying that he's finding his feet again. "It's all that kept me going, the only thing I was ever good at," Josh exclaimed when discussing his love of the sport.
Family support has been huge for Josh who said they were "very good" to him and got anything he needed.
Josh attended St Clement’s College in Limerick city and previously completed a course with the FAI in partnership with the Education and Training Board, supported by the European Social Fund's Local Training Initiative which provides a blend of educational and football development for talented young footballers and aspiring coaches.
