A number of Halloween events are being organised
A SPOOK-TACULAR series of events is planned next month as Limerick celebrates the festival of Halloween.
Limerick City and County Council will, in the coming days, unveil its programme for the spooky season.
There will be more than 10 events taking place in the city and its surrounds across various venues.
King John’s Castle will play host to a bespoke Halloween experience between Thursday, October 16 and Sunday, November 2.
The Milk Market is to be home to an urban pumpkin patch from Saturday, October 11, while the same venue will host a harvest festival two weeks later.

Between Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, November 2, the Hunt Museum will welcome story-telling, movie-screenings, an animal tour, and projections on its landmark exterior.
Across the city in the People’s Museum at Pery Square, there will be Samhain tales by the fireside on Friday, October 24.
The Wickham Way Market will hold a twice-daily Halloween carnival on Saturdays and Sundays October 11, 12, 18 and 19, alongside November 1 and 2.
Limerick Civic Trust will organise tours of its People’s Museum, which will be transformed into a haunted house on Friday, October 31 and Sunday, November 2.
On October 31, Halloween itself, some of Ireland’s most promising filmmakers will showcase their work at the Belltable, as part of the Halloween Screams All-Ireland filmmakers screening 2025.
Halloween-themed night-time experiences are coming from Nevsail Watersports between Friday, October 3 to Sunday, October 5, as well as between Friday, October 17 to Sunday, October 19.
On top of this, the same firm will organise activities on Friday, October 24 and Saturday, October 25.
