ALL IS not as it seems in Grean Drama Productions' portrayal of Tommy Marren’s The Banshee of Crokey Hill.

A three night run takes place in Pallasgreen Community Centre at 8.15pm this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 24 to 26.

Ann O’Dwyer, producer, said the cast have been very busy in rehearsals over the past two months on at least four evenings a week and a minimum of 14 hours a week.

"The play, considered to be a dark comedy, will give the audience plenty of laughs, music and suspense,2 said Ms O’Dwyer.

The play, set in 1975, tells the story of Mickey McMahon, played by Martin Franklin, who returns  home from Manchester after 13 years to visit his parents Jack (Joseph O Dwyer) and his wife Kathleen (Darleen O Carroll). He brings the news that he is to be married in Manchester. All is not as it seems, and a dark  secret kept from him by his parents unfolds.

The arrival of the local gossip Molly Andy (Bernie O Carroll) reveals a story of a Banshee associated with the McMahon’s house and a spell that was put on the house when it was built.

The cast is made up of Joseph O'Dwyer, Darleen O'Carroll, Martin Franklin, Paul Jenkins and Bernie O Carroll. The crew are  Michael English, Garry Fraher, Aoife Kiely, James O'Dea, Kerrie O'Donnell, PP O'Sullivan, William Ryan
