THE anticipation has already begun to build as the Christmas Racing Festival approaches!
I can feel the excitement stirring in the Limerick air already, as the Mr Binman Racing Festival was launched in Limerick Racecourse, and I was delighted to attend.
From December 26 to 29, we’ll come together in Patrickswell to celebrate four days of thrilling racing, fabulous fashion and of course, festive cheer. This is all made possible by the support of Mr Binman and a host of community partners.
Day one on December 26 will start the festival with a bang, as Big Boss Events is set to bring the iconic Big Boss Top to the racecourse. I can already envision the vibrant crowds, kicking off the four-day spectacle with the kind of joy that only Christmas can bring.
I am most excited for Ladies Day on December 27, of course, as the day is devoted to style and glamour - now we are speaking my language!
Fashion will take centre stage as the Holman Lee Agency models are set to dazzle the crowd, setting a high-energy tone that I’m sure will only grow as the evening brings the Munster v Leinster rugby match.

On December 28, racing enthusiasts will gather for an unmissable day of racing with the prestigious Faugheen Grade 1 race.
This is a day not to be missed for avid racegoers, as I’m sure the massive prize on offer will draw the best in the sport.
The finale on December 29 will see the fun-filled festival conclude with a family fun day. This is a day I can’t wait to experience with my loved ones.
As I look forward to these four exciting days, I’m thrilled to see how the Christmas Racing Festival will bring us together, showcasing the best of Limerick’s community spirit and hospitality.
It’s shaping up to be an unforgettable holiday event and I, for one, can’t wait to be there, cheering, celebrating, and making memories with all of you!
