LIMERICK'S St Mary's RFC powered their way into the quarter-finals of the energia All-Ireland Junior Cup after defeating Castlebar RFC, of Mayo, in their first round fixture at MultiFlow Park in Grove Island, Corbally on Saturday.
St. Mary’s are back in the Junior Cup for the first time since 2014/15 this season. The Limerick outfit finished fourth in Munster Junior League Division 1 last season and have started the current campaign well.

St Mary's recorded an impressisve 36-20 win over their visitors Castlebar on Saturday. James O’Brien scored two of the Saints five tries, while Cian Clohessy, Adam Guerin and Ross Kelly were the other try scorers. Guerin kicked four conversions and a penalty.
The quarter-finals of the energia All-Ireland Junior Cup are are set for Saturday, November 15, with the semi-finals on December 13 and the final in the calendar for January 24.
St Mary's RFC hosted a pre-match lunch in the clubhouse before kick-off and photographer Brendan Gleeson captured the excitement from the event for the Limerick Leader.
