Limerick prop among two contract extensions confirmed by Munster Rugby

MUNSTER Rugby and the IRFU have confirmed that props Roman Salanoa and Conor Bartley have signed contract extensions with the province.

Salanoa has scored two tries in 30 appearances for Munster and played in 21 games over the URC title-winning 2022/23 campaign.

The 27-year-old Hawaiian made his Munster debut against Edinburgh in 2020. He has made big strides in recent months after requiring a lengthy rehabilitation period for a knee injury and has signed a one-year deal.

Twenty nine-year-old Young Munster RFC man Bartley joined Munster in November 2024 after impressing in the All Ireland League and has signed a short-term extension.

He played his schools rugby with Castletroy College and has been a cornerstone of Young Munster’s front-row for the past 10 years, winning three consecutive Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Challenge Cup titles between 2021 and 2023.

He also represented the Ireland Clubs side against Portugal A in March 2024.
