Christmas FM returns to the Limerick airwaves

THE much-loved festive radio station Christmas FM has returned to the Limerick airwaves.

The radio station, which raises hundreds of thousands of euro for charity each year, returned to the airwaves this week to bring you all of the festive music you need to get in the Christmas spirit.

Christmas FM, which will raise much needed funds for Sightsavers who aim to give the gift of sight this Christmas to over 5,000 people worldwide, is celebrating ten years on air.

Tune in to hear a host of very familiar radio voices who will be volunteering their time to bring you round-the-clock Christmas tunes and festive updates, as well as sharing their very special Christmas memories and favourite festive experiences.

Since 2008, Christmas FM has raised over €1.25 million for charities including ISPCC, Barnardos, Simon, Age Action, Aware and Make A Wish Ireland. It is entirely funded through sponsorship and run each year by more than 100 volunteers who participate across the station, each devoting between 20 and 50 hours of their time.

It is sponsored by Cadbury and Dunnes Stores and broadcasts from the Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin.

The station will be broadcasting live on the radio in Limerick on 105.5FM and online at www.christmasfm.com.
