IT HAS been a mad March for me in terms of fashion events.
Last week I presented some curated styles from the Fusion Fashion Moycullen, Galway boutique with Maura Derrane on the RTÉ Today Show.
Fabulous models Ava Balfe and Sofia Labus from the Holman Lee Agency wowed the studio with their wonderful poise and looks.
With the lovely weather this last week, the theme of the show was wedding wear and formal pieces as we are heading into summer. A huge trend this season is clashing block colours - as well as sustainability.

The pieces from the boutique were adaptable and made to last, which is something that suits everyone these days. The cut and tailoring on the dresses were simply sensational.
The fascinators we showed off are available to rent. I imparted to Maura and the Today Show audience that it’s crucial to always fix a hat securely to your head - whether you’re walking up the aisle for a wedding or enjoying a day out at the races, the last thing you want is a head piece mishap!
Something I always tell models and all those who are posing is to angle your head to the side for photos. That way the light can catch your face and it’s possible to show some dimension in your features that could be hidden otherwise.
In other news, I had a fantastic photoshoot with VIP Magazine earlier this month. Jenny Marley, from MAC at Brown Thomas did my makeup, while Anita O’Donnell from Marbles Hair and Beauty did hair - and Sinead Kearney of Tadhg Kearney’s Jewellers did the accessories.
The pictures came out fabulous and the glam of it all just was beyond belief. I feel so lucky to be surrounded by such high-quality fashion professionals in this city.
