For the Minor Electric Ireland Championship Round game, Limerick travelled to Cork's camogie grounds in Castle Road. Limerick got off to a great start and raised a white flag within the first minute of the game and had added three further points, before their opponents got on the scoresheet in the thirteenth minute.
Both sides traded points and then the Limerick defences were breached with Cork getting the first goal of the game in the 20th minute. Cork then had a purple patch and notched up three more points, one from a free to take the lead for the first time, a lead they maintained and went into the break two points ahead.
Cork were first to score in the second half and at ten minutes into the second half Limerick had their own purple patch sending over three points to level the scores. That was the situation until Cork got their second goal to retake the lead.
Limerick didn't give up and added a point to their tally and when a scoring opportunity was denied the referee awarded a penalty in the 27th minute, which unfortunately for Limerick was saved. Whilst both sided added a further score to the tallies it was Cork who were victorious on a scoreline of 2-8 to 0-11.
