PICTURES: Mary Immaculate College celebrate Purcell Cup success

MARY Immaculate College (MIC) has honoured its Purcell Cup winning Senior Camogie Team with a medal ceremony and reception.

The MIC Senior Camogie team defeated neighbours, University of Limerick 2-12 to 1-17 in the Purcell Cup final at the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence on February 9. MIC came from four points down at half time to level the match and even though, UL scored two goals in the second half, the MIC outfit kept their composure to take the victory. 

MIC has won the Purcell Cup seven times in total, last in 2015 and holds the honour of being the inaugural winners in 1977.
