EUROPEAN human resource (HR) and payroll service provider SD Worx has opened new offices at the National Technology Park in Plassey.

The move follows the company’s acquisition of Ceridian UK & Ceridian Ireland.

SD Worx Ireland provides fully managed payroll outsourcing service to over 180 clients in the Irish market as well as HR software packages to suit their clients’ business requirements.

The company’s director of services in Ireland Morgan Danaher says SD Worx is primed for “substantial growth, recruitment and investment” in the Mid-West region over the coming years.

Managing director of SD Worx UK & Ireland Doug Sawers added: “Our Ireland business has such an exciting future ahead as part of SD Worx. Ireland is such a key market for us, and we are investing significantly here to grow the already very strong team and presence as demand for our top-rated service expands.”

Group chief executive Steven Van Hoorebeke added: “This partnership and purchase entirely fit within our strategy to continue our international growth and to strengthen our market position. Ceridian UK and Ireland are strong companies known for their excellent customer service and firm customer base.”

The chief executive of IDA Ireland Martin Shanahan added: “This move positions SD Worx to achieve further international growth. Its presence in Limerick is a welcome addition to the strong HR service sector here. I wish the company every success.”
