A NEWCASTLE West business which supplies fire security and emergency response systems has been acquired.

Prestige was founded in 2005 by managing director Dave Enright, and its services include the supply, installation, servicing and maintenance of fire alarms, fire suppression systems and intruder alarms.

Prior to forming Prestige, Mr Enright worked for Siemens Building Technologies, Preussag Fire Protection, and Kidde Fire Protection.

He will remain in post with his leadership team.

“We’re excited to join the Ranger Group and look forward to working alongside some of the most respected businesses in the industry,” said Mr Enright.

“This partnership will allow us to continue delivering the same high-quality, customer-focused service that our clients expect, while gaining access to wider expertise, resources and cross-selling opportunities that Ranger offers.”

Another firm based in London, S&W led the sale process.

The company’s partner in Ireland Con Casey said: “We are delighted to have worked with Prestige Detection Systems in finding the right buyer for their business and the deal highlights, again, our unrivalled expertise in selling family owned mid-size businesses.”

The deal to buy Prestige Detection Systems is Ranger’s fourth acquisition in Ireland.

Also part of the company’s stable are Dublin companies KSS Fire Suppression and Aqua Fire Prevention, plus B-Safe Group, which is located in Cork.
