International financial role at health food giant for Limerick businesswoman

HEALTH food giant Holland and Barrett has appointed a Limerick woman as its new chief financial officer.

Vineta Bajaj, pictured, who graduated from University of Limerick, took up the position this month.

The announcement comes following the decision that current chief financial officer Nick Allen, is set to leave the business at the end of the financial year.

Ms Bajaj brings more than a decade of international finance leadership experience to the role, having most recently served as chief financial officer at Rohik Group, a pan-European online grocery business operating in five countries.

As part of her new role, she will join the Holland and Barrett board.

“There is an ongoing transformation journey across this international business, and I anticipate that this fantastic brand will continue to grow in relevance and impact in the rapidly expanding health and wellness sector,” she said.

Holland and Barrett operates 1,300 stores in 16 countries, including here in Ireland, Britain, Netherlands, Belgium, mainland China, Hong Kong, India, Saudi Arabia and Lithuania.
