A BRAND new video showcasing Limerick to the world has been launched in New York City.

The two-minute, 40 second long film gives a taster of all that is good about the city and county, from Thomond Park, to University of Limerick, Adare Manor to King John's Castle and the stunning areas of its rural hinterland.

The piece was premiered at an event hosted by Mayor John Moran in collaboration with The Irish Centre in the American city.

Among the first to see it were business leaders, public officials and other investors.

The video features interviews with Michael Prendergast, the vice-president of European sales with Bath Fitter, an American company which came to Limerick in 2020.

He is joined by David Jefferys, who co-founded tech firm Action Point in the city, Dr Leonie Lynch of city centre food firm Juspy Ltd and Michelle Gallagher, the chief executive of Limerick Chamber.

Mayor Moran said: "This is about telling Limerick’s story to the world, a story of innovation, resilience, and ambition. The new Invest in Limerick video captures the energy of a city that’s growing, evolving, and ready to welcome global investment. We are proud to bring this message to New York, a city built by Irish hands, and, of course, the city where I began my careeer, and invite the next generation of investors to be part of Limerick’s future.”

Príomh Chomhairleoir, Cllr Catherine Slattery, also spoke of the significance of the launch: “Limerick is presenting its story to the world – a story full of energy, innovation, and opportunity. We are proud of our unique identity and our ability to meet the future head-on. This marks a major step forward in promoting our city on the international stage.”

Council director general Dr Pat Daly added: “This video is a true reflection of years of collaboration with our business community, educational institutions, and regional partners. Limerick is now one of the most competitive and connected locations in Europe for investment. From advanced manufacturing to life sciences, from creative industries to green energy, we are ready to support businesses that want to grow with us.”

The Invest in Limerick video highlights the key reasons to invest in the city, including its strategic location, innovation ecosystem, talent pipeline, and commitment to sustainability. It also showcases success stories from global companies that have chosen Limerick as a base for growth.

The new promotional video, which was met with strong appreciation at the event, brings to life the vibrancy, opportunity, and quality of life that Limerick offers to investors and their employees.
