IT was a positive weekend for Limerick's basketball, as three teams From the 'Treaty County' recorded impressive wins in Domino's Cup action.

The Limerick Celtics recorded an impressive 112-89 win over St Vincent's of Dublin at Crescent College on Saturday night in the Men's Super League National Cup.

Tony Hehir's side have shown some fine form in this year's cup following an opening round win over Munster rivals UCC Demons, winning 91-88.

The Domino’s MSL National Cup last four sees Ballincollig play semi-final debutants Limerick Celtics, while UCD Marian are up against Garvey’s Tralee Warriors.

The Limerick Sport Eagles also recorded an impressive win in their Men's Division One Cup outing against Carrick Cruisers on Saturday night at the Phoneix Centre. 

Niall McDermott's side ran out 31-point winners in what was a dominant display from the Limerick side against their Monaghan opponents, running out 81-50 winners. 

Limerick Sport Eagles will face Templeogue in the semi-finals, while 2021/22 finalists Drogheda Wolves play Ulster University, who won the competition in 2022/23.

In Domino's Women's Division One Cup action, the Limerick Sport Huskies travelled to the capital to face the Abbey Seals Dublin Lions on Saturday night. 

Patrick O'Regan's charges ran out 43-point winners on the night, doubling the points tally of their opponents in a 86-43 win.

The Domino’s WD1 National Cup draw saw Templeogue get Cleveland Rockets in the last four, while Limerick Sport Huskies are up against Moy Tolka Rovers.

Also in Women's Division One Cup action, the Limerick Celtics fell to a defeat at home to Moy Tolka Rovers on Saturday evening. 

Jordan Hehir's side were on the end of a 70-59 defeat to the Dublin-based side.
