THE Limerick-based National League teams enjoyed a hugely successful weekend of fixtures with three out of the four teams enjoying a win in the second round of games.

In the Men's Division One league Limerick Celtics made it two wins from two in their second game of the season in Crescent Comprehensive last Saturday evening.

Celtics got the better of Galway side Moycullen, 84-70, with stand-out performances again from American Ariyon Jamal and Williams and Finn Hughes who shot 30 and 23 points each for their side. Jordan Hehir and Eoghan Donaghy also contributed to the score board in a highly competitive game. They will now make the trip to Waterford for their first away game of the year to take on SETU Waterford Vikings on Saturday at 7:30pm.

It's been a tough start to the 24/25 season for Limerick Sport Eagles in the men's National League suffering two defeats on the bounce, both at the hands of Galway clubs. Eagles welcomed Titans BC to the UL Arena last Saturday with the Galway side just coming out on top, 95-81. American signing Alexander Carlisle produced one of the best performances of the weekend scoring an incredible 43 points. It will be a Friday night lights game for Eagles this weekend as they welcome Tipperary Talons, who have also lost their opening two games.

In the Women's Division One league Limerick Sport Huskies backed up their opening round victory over rival Limerick team Limerick Celtics with a huge 92-66 victory away to Oblate Dynamos. Huskies' Delia Moore and Scout Frame combined to score 50 points for the team with centre Orlaith Woods putting up a confident 13 points herself. They will now welcome McEvoy's Cavan Eagles this Saturday at the UL Arena at 4pm.

The final Limerick team in action this weekend will be Limerick Celtics women's side who will travel to the capital to take on Abbey Seal Dublin Lions. The Celtics women recorded their first win of the year with a hard-fought 97-94 win over Cleveland Rockets last weekend. American duo Shelby Harmeyer and Stephanie McBride made a huge difference for the team with McBride boasting 40 points on the scoresheet.
