Abroad
There was another sub 4 hour marathon on Sunday for Joan Mullane of West Limerick in the eternal city at the Rome Marathon.
This is one of the most scenic big city marathons in Europe passing some of the most famous sites such as the Colosseum, St Peters Basilica and Spanish Steps. However some runners struggle with the cobblestones lining the ground over the final kilometres. But Joan managed to pull out another fantastic performance despite this finishing in 3.57.05. Congratulations Joan.
