Tributes have been paid this week after the sudden death of former Irish reality TV star Jo Jordan in Co Meath.

Jo died this week at the age of 51. She is best known for her part in the Dublin Wives reality TV show which aired on TV3 in 2012 and 2013. The other stars of the show included Lisa Murphy, Virginia Macari, Roz Flannagan and Danielle Meagher.

Jo's RIP.ie death notice states that she died "suddenly" and was the "cherished mother of Gavin and Joshua, devoted grandmother of Mason and Noah and dear sister of Paul, Sonya, Michelle, Gloria and the late Linda."

It adds that she will be "sadly missed by her loving family, James, daughter-in-law Bridget (BB), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends."

Tributes have been flooding in for Jo who had been described as "a lovely lady."

One person wrote: "Was so saddened to hear of Jo’s sudden passing. May she rest in peace. I’ll always keep the wonderful times we shared close to my heart. A wonderful kind hearted lady who loved her boys so very much. Sending condolences to you all."

Another said: "So sad to hear of your passing, Jo, I have such fond memories of my childhood with you, so warm and caring towards us younger ones. You were so loved and had such a big beautiful smile, I wish you a peaceful rest and I know your mam and dad & Linda have you in their arms, I'll see you on the other side, sending my love and prayers to your boys, grandchild and all the Brogan Family at such a sad time for you all."

A third tribute read: "My deepest and sincere sympathies to Gavin, Joshua and extended family on the very sad passing of your beloved Mam, Grandmother and friend to so many, Jo.

"Jo and I became friends over 12 years ago when both of us were involved in a charity event in Drogheda. Right away we clicked. Over those years Jo has always believed in me when many others didn't.

"Jo had the biggest heart and thought of everyone. When my own Mum died Jo was one of the first of my friends to reach out and she continued to encourage me to keep on singing and performing and to live my truth regardless of the naysayers.

Jo, thank you for being my friend, thank you for the love you shared with so many. Thank you for always standing up for LGBT rights and most of all, thank you for being you.

"Until we meet again, may you fly high with the angels and may your goodness be a comfort for your grieving family."
