The late Jon Kenny, Johnny Duhan and Johnny Fean will be honoured at a special memorial event in Limerick city in May
A NIGHT of music celebrating the talents of three late local legends will remember Johnny Duhan, Johnny Fean and Jon Kenny with performances from international stars Bill Whelan and Dave Carey.
The concert presented by RTÉ DJ Mickey Mac will be held in the Lime Tree Theatre on May 20 at 8pm.
The special event is being organised by Cha Haran, an ex member of the Limerick band Granny's Intentions, who will also perform on the night along with fellow former member John Ryan.
Mr Haran said he's “really looking forward” to the tribute and that it will be a great night for the city.
He added that the concert will be “talked about for years” and thanked the Lime Tree Theatre and Senator Maria Byrne for their help in organising the event.

Mr Haran said the families of the late Limerick men are “happy” that they're being recognised. “We're giving them a proper Limerick tribute.”
Mick Hanly, John Ryan and Brian O'Connor will give a tribute to singer-songwriter Johnny Duhan, and Johnny Fean's brothers Donal and Ray and Blues Train will perform in his honour. Finally, a tribute to comedian and ex member of Limerick band Gimik Jon Kenny will be given by Derek O'Sullivan.
Tickets to Limerick’s Music Tribute to the 3 Johnny’s cost €27 each and can be purchased on limetreebelltable.ie. All proceeds from the night will be donated to charity.
