Harpist, pianist and singer Eva Downey is among the artists set to wow the audience in Newcastle West this Sunday
MUSIC lovers will be purring with excitement as they look forward to a wonderful concert of local talent organised by Newcastle West and District Lions Club.
Kick of the festive season with the singing soiree in the Church of the Immaculate Conception at 7.45pm this Sunday, December 8.
Rosemarie Bennis, of the Newcastle West and District Lions Club, said they have a star-studded line-up of musical talent.
“Solo stars Anne Phelan, Eva Downey and Trevor Sexton will be joined by the renowned Capriccio Quartet and not one but two choirs - Cór le Chéile and Scoil Mhuire agus Ide.
“In addition, the gifted young pianist Abishek Jino, whose ambition to become a concert pianist will gain strength from this performance.
“This event will be rich in ambiance with soft candlelight and the wonderful acoustic landscape of the church,” said Ms Bennis.

She invites those from near and far to take the opportunity to spend time together in this community setting, transported by beautiful music.
“This is a non-ticketed event, with donations at your discretion.
“All funds raised go directly to individuals and families in need of support at Christmas and throughout the year,” said Ms Bennis.
All are welcome to attend and share in the magic of a musical Christmas at the night in Newcastle West which is suitable for all the family.
