What to stream over the Christmas break? Netflix, Disney+, Amazon and more
Truly the best thing about the holiday season is ‘Betwixt-mas’: the in-between-y week of Christmas and New Years where no one gets out of pyjamas and everyone survives on leftovers, selection boxes and Christmas biscuits.
To save you the endless scroll, here’s a few of the best new releases and binge-able shows to keep every couch potato entertained.
Disney+:
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew - December 2 premiere
Star Wars meets The Goonies - Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is the latest addition to the Disney+ juggernaut which now spans eight seperate series. Hailed as a “purely nostalgic kids’ adventure” and set in the same timeline as The Mandalorian, it follows four kids trying to get back home after getting lost in “a galaxy far, far away”, with Jude Law and Nick Frost in supporting roles.

Marvel’s What If? Season 3 - December 22 premiere
Over at the OTHER Disney+ juggernaut, the third and final season of Marvel Animations What If…? drops just before Christmas. Netflix:
Squid Game Season 2 - December 26 premiere
Why anyone would step back into a deadly game they barely survived and won is anyone’s guess. But Player 456/Gi-Hun seems to be doing exactly that in an attempt to take down the mysterious gamemakers of the brutal titular games, in season two of the record-breaking Korean horror survival show. One for binging along with the Christmas day leftovers for sure.
