Famous comedian visits iconic Limerick takeaway ahead of comedy gig

SCOTTISH comedian, Frankie Boyle, made a memorable visit to Limerick while touring across Ireland before his Dublin comedy show.

While in the county, the Glasgow native took a pit stop at the famous Chicken Hut to recharge for the road ahead, sharing a picture of himself and another walking down O'Connell Street with the box of food in tow.

He wrote on Instagram: "Having a rare old time of it in Ireland."

The comedian's trip also took him to other iconic Irish spots like the Barack Obama Plaza, Galway city and he even had a taste of Donegal's McDaid's Football Special.

Having performed at the 3Olympia Theatre on Friday 19, he confirmed an extra date of Sunday, April 21 2024 as part of his Lap Of Shame tour.

While a native of Glasgow, Frankie's parents are originally from Crolly, Co Donegal. He was a regular on BBC panel show Mock of the Week and has been performing since around 1995.
