Ireland's song for Eurovision 2024 will be selected on a Eurosong edition of The Late Late Show

Eurovision Song Contest 2024: Favourite to represent Ireland in Sweden

Eurovision 2024 takes place in Sweden between May 7 and May 11.

The six songs bidding to represent Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Sweden have been revealed.

This year's national selection takes place on a special 'Eurosong' edition of the Late Late Show on Friday, January 26 - which will be broadcast live on RTÉ One.

Sweden, who won last year's Eurovision in Liverpool with Loreen's song 'Tattoo', are now level with Ireland for the most Eurovision victories (7) in the history of the competition.

Ireland's 2023 representatives, Wild Youth, failed to qualify for the grand final - making it five years since the country last qualified for the final. Ryan O'Shaughnessy was the last to do so with the song 'Together' in 2018.

The Late Late Show Eurosong 2024 line-up is as follows:

- Erica Cody (Song: Love Me Like I Do)

- Ailsha (Song: Go Tobann)

- Isabella Kearney (Song: Let Me Be The Fire)

- JyellowL (Song: Judas)

- Bambie Thug (Song: Doomsday Blues)

- Next In Line (Song: Love Like Us)
