Cleansing dept. is strongly criticised

SEVERAL City councillors last night criticised the Cleansing Department of Limerick Corporation. The matter was raised by Councillor J.P. Liddy, who asked why two sweepers had been shifted from the Ballynanty Beg area, which is now in a very bad condition, as the place is littered with broken glass.

The Mayor, Cllr Frank Leddin said that yesterday for the second time recently collection on the Roxboro and Janesboro area had not taken place on the day appointed. He said there seem to be a lack of coordination in the city services.
