Memories – 50 years – Limerick as a tourist centre

REFERENCES to Limerick’s potential as a tourist centre and a swimming pool were made by Mr. E. T. Hall, Vice President, when he spoke at the third dinner of the Limerick Chamber of Commerce at the Royal George Hotel.

The Minister for Finance, Mr Jack Lynch and Mrs. Lynch attended.

Mr. Hall said that plans for Limerick’s industrial development have recently been publicised.

“Such plans” said Mr. Hall, “are of necessity, long term – we hope not too long – but I wish to refer to another source of income here for the taking already.”
