Limerick hurler swaps All-Ireland glory for Pallasgreen preparations
Despite his recent All-Ireland success, the hard work doesn’t stop with a medal for Limerick hurler Colin Ryan as he returns to play with his local club, Pallasgreen
Fresh from an All-Ireland Senior Hurling win, Limerick hurler Colin Ryan has spared no time returning to pitch duties on his home soil in Pallasgreen.
Posting to Facebook, Pallasgreen GAA shared a photo of Colin, a professional landscaper, on a lawnmower while maintaining his local pitch.
Despite his recent All-Ireland success, the hard work doesn’t stop with a medal for Colin who is a sub goalkeeper with the Limerick senior hurlers.
Aside from the Pallasgreen pitch maintenance, his club said in the Facebook post that the inter-county hurler “is not resting on his laurels” - he is set to line out with his home club on Thursday evening in Doon.
The upcoming fixture will see Pallasgreen lock horns with neighbours, Cappamore, in the Nick Grene Sportsgrounds Maintenance County Intermediate Hurling Championship.
And if all that wasn’t enough, Colin is also set to take part in the All-Ireland Poc Fada competition early next week.
Taking place on Monday, August 3, the two-time Poc Fada champion will tackle the Cooley Mountains in the hope of securing his third competition win.
