THE WORKS of Limerick artist Breda Lynch will feature at the Bangkok Biennale.

The Limerick city-based artist has been invited by the artistic director of the event, Apinan Poshyananda to display her work “Satan Shopping” as part of the installation.

The Bangkok Art Biennale is Thailand’s largest and most prestigious art event, as well as being a major international art event.

Breda has been supported in the opportunity to display her work by the Bangkok Art Biennale and Culture Ireland.

The production of the artwork in Bangkok is commissioned by the Biennale and will be shown in two venues, the BACC - Bangkok Arts and Culture Centre and the Siam Paragon shopping mall, two of the many venues across the city that are used by BAB 2026.

The theme of this year’s Bangkok Art Biennale is “Angels and Mara.”

Breda’s work will be on display at the Bangkok Arts and Culture Centre (BACC) – one of the many venues for the Biennale.

Breda is a visual artist, who works across drawing, photography, print, digital media, video and installation.

The Limerick artist engages with dialogue on queer feminisms, Occulture, image appropriation and the culture of the copy.

The Bangkok Art Biennale runs from October 29 until February 28, 2027.

It features the work of 72 artists from around the world and offers a citywide art experience.

Amanda Coogan is the only other Irish artist to feature, while there is just one artist from the UK featuring.
