Life drawing marathon for Limerick city

A LIFE drawing marathon will take place in Shannon Rowing Club for five days from Monday, July 11 to Friday, July 15.

This unique event will allow artists to spend an intensive focused time working on their life drawing or painting skills directly from a life model in a variety of poses across five days.

Poses suitable for fast gesture work will be included along with longer poses for more sustained drawings.

Easels and drawing boards will be provided and artists are welcome to work in their chosen medium to include charcoal, pencil, ink, watercolour, acrylic or oils.

The model will be directed by the facilitator in a variety of shorter and longer poses for the first three days. There will be a two day pose on Thursday and Friday. Students have the option of participating in the full week course or just attending for a single day.
