Bowie's Labyrinth to kick off UCH film season

A SCREENING of Labyrinth, starring David Bowie, will kick off the first full cinema season in the UCH.

Music videos by the recently deceased music icon will precede the screening of Jim Henson’s cult classic on Tuesday, February 9.

Eoin Devereux will introduce Bowie’s videos and the film, with all proceeds from the evening going to the Mid-Western Cancer Foundation.

Pre-Christmas screenings of The Goonies and Miracle on 34th Street were complete sell outs at the UCH, with audiences enjoying the 22 x 44 foot cinema screen. As such, the concert hall will present its first full series of film this spring, with eight films including The Lion King, The Godfather, Rocky and Pulp Fiction to follow, among others.
