MUNSTER Rugby suffered their first defeat of the URC season when succumbing 21-27 to the DHL Stormers at Thomond Park in front of an official attendance of 14,421 at Thomond Park on Saturday night.
Home side Munster looked in control of the contest when leading 21-6 at half-time, thanks to three first half tries from Tadhg beirne, John Hodnett and Jack Crowley.
However, the visitors came stormong back in the second period outscoring their hosts 21-0 to record a famous win.
Munster did look to have snatched victory very late on but Tom Farrell's try was chalked off for a knock-on in the lead up to the score.

Munster now switch their focus to next Saturday evening's opening round Investec Champions Cup clash with Johann van Graan's Bath side at the Rec.
