LIMERICK hurling manager John Kiely praised the team's "very strong final quarter" which helped the team to "really take a hold of the game and take control of it".
Waterford had cut the gap to just two points but an assured finish to the game saw Limerick run out 10 point winners over the Deise by a scoreline of 30 points to 2 - 14.
However, John bemoaned his side's scoring inefficiency in the first half but was full of praise for their "mean defence".
Next up for Limerick is a clash with the Banner in the Munster final for the third year in a row. It will take place on Sunday, June 9 at 4pm in FBD Semple Stadium Thurles.
