Mungret St Paul's boosted their hopes of reaching the knock-out stages with 1-18 to 0-10 success

MUNGRET St Paul's picked up their first win in Group 2 of the Whitebox Property Developments Ltd Limerick senior hurling championship when overcoming Kildimo-Pallaskenry 1-18 to 0-10 at Clarina on Friday evening.

Mungret St Paul's now sit on four points in the group following two earlier draws with now just one game to play in the round robin phase against Dromin-Athlacca.

The winners outscored their opponents 1-12 to 0-4 in the second half when backed by the breeze to earn a comfortable win.

Kildimo-Pallaskenry have picked up three points in their opening four group games.
