"Before the championship even started, as a group we all believed that we were well capable of pushing into the top four and getting a few results regardless. Even though it was disappointing to get a defeat the first day, we still believe that we can two if not three results going into the next few games," said Ahane senior hurling captain Ciaran Barry at the launch of the Whitebox Limerick senior hurling championship.
Ahane face Na Piarsaigh in round three of the Limerick senior hurling championship on Sunday afternoon at 2pm in Claughaun GAA Grounds.
The east Limerick side have suffered a defeat to Ballybrown and played out a draw with Kilmallock in the opening two games of the Limerick SHC. Ahane sit in fifth place on one point in group one of the SHC.
