THE Whitebox Limerick senior hurling championship gets back underway this week. Six games take place in round three of the SHC across Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
In group one, county champions Doon take on Kilmallock on Thursday evening in Knocklong at 7pm. Both sides sit on three points after two games. Patrickswell and Ballybrown meet in a local derby on Saturday evening in Mick Neville Park at 6:30pm. The Well are yet to win a game in the SHC and Ballybrown have registered a win and suffered a loss in the SHC. The final game of the weekend in Claughaun sees Na Piarsaigh face Ahane on Sunday at 2pm. Na Piarsaigh are on three points after two games, while Ahane bounced back from opening round defeat to earn a hard fought draw with Kilmallock.
Group two table toppers Monaleen and Mungret St Paul's meet in Claughaun on Friday evening at 6:30pm. Monaleen have recorded two victories in their two gamesd and Mungret St Paul's have played out two draws in the SHC. Adare take on Kildimo-Pallaskenry in Sean Finn Park, Rathkeale on Friday at 6:30pm. Kildimo-Pallskenry are on three points after two games and Adare sit on one point. Newcastle West face Dromin-Athlacca in Croagh on Saturday at 3pm. Dromin-Athlacca are yet to register a win and the Magpies have played out a two draws.
Round four of the SHC takes place next week.
