“As a squad, you couldn't have been in at a better time, the most fruitful time in Limerick's past. But personally, you’d always want to get into goals at some stage. If you're not going to be a number one, then let someone else in to make their stab at it. Overall, very happy with it. I gave it my all,” reflected Glenroe's David McCarthy, looking back on his time with the Limerick senior hurlers.
Glenroe clubman David McCarthy made the decision to step away from the Limerick panel in 2024. McCarthy was Limerick's third choice goalkeeper last season.
Glenroe open their Limerick premier intermediate hurling championship campaign against Glenroe on Friday evening at 7pm in Kilmallock. Danny Murphy remains in charge of the South Limerick club for the 2025 season.
