PICTURES: Limerick stars honoured at GAA Champion 15 Awards ceremony at Croke Park

Four Limerick players have been named on the Tailteaan Cup Team of the Year

A NUMBER of Limerick senior football stars were honoured at at the GAA Champion 15 Awards ceremony at Croke Park in Dublin on Friday night.

Four Limerick players were included on the 2025 Tailteann Cup Team of the Year. The four Shannonsiders honoured on the team were goalkeeper Josh Ryan who played a vital role in Jimmy Lee side's journey to the Tailteann Cup decider, with a crucial
penalty save and man of the match performance in the semi-final.

Newcastle West clubman Iain Corbett who was a talisman in Limerick's march to the final is included in the side at centre half-back. The versatile Corbett has since confirmed his retirement from inter-county football.

The Limerick duo of James Naughton and Danny Neville, who combined for an impressive 3-43, secured the two wing forward spots on the 2025 Tailteann Cup Team of the Year.

The winners were presented with their awards on Friday night at a special black-tie event at Croke Park where they were guests of honour alongside the Champion 15 and Joe McDonagh Team of the Year members.
